About Review-detector
Review-detector is an independent review aggregator. We collect honest user reviews about websites and online services and present them in one place, so that you can make better-informed choices before signing up, paying, or sharing your data.
What we do
For each service in our catalogue we maintain a single dedicated page that hosts every review we have received about that service, along with an aggregate rating and a summary of recurring themes. We do not edit reviews for tone, and we do not curate the page to favour any particular outcome.
We publish reviews submitted directly by users of our website, supplemented with reviews collected from public sources where permitted. Each review carries the date it was published and the rating chosen by the author.
How reviews are sourced
Anyone can submit a review through our submission form. We perform basic spam and abuse filtering, but we do not gate reviews based on sentiment, and we do not require proof of purchase. We rely on the diversity of opinions across many reviews to balance individual bias.
Our editorial stance
We do not accept payment from companies to remove, modify, suppress, or promote reviews. We do not display sponsored review content. We do not run pay-for-removal programs. Frequently asked questions
Why do you not require proof of purchase?
Requiring proof of purchase would exclude many legitimate experiences — for example, people who tried a service briefly, or who interacted with a company in a way that did not involve a receipt. We prefer to let the volume and diversity of reviews tell the story.
How is the AI-generated summary produced?
The summary on each company page is generated automatically from the reviews currently visible on that page. It groups recurring themes into positive, neutral, and negative observations. It does not draw on external information. Summaries may contain inaccuracies and should not replace reading individual reviews.
Can I edit or delete a review I wrote?
Yes. If you wrote a review and want to update or remove it, write to us from the email address you used when submitting. We aim to respond within a few business days.
